Gayming: Verdant Isles, Teatime Adventures is a cozy LGBTQ+ friendly D&D setting you need to play

Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) doesn’t always have to be the hack-and-slack mayhem that it’s made out to be. That’s never been clearer than with Verdant Isles: Teatime Adventures, a beautiful and cozy D&D 5th edition compatible book of adventures that take place in the comfortable town of Oakenbend.

Boasting over 200+ pages of pure, heartwarming adventures, intricate illustrations, a beautiful town full of unique and interesting characters, and surprisingly, a vibrancy of plentiful flavour for your tastebuds. That’s right, there’s food and tea to be found in this book, and I’d be lying if I said that alone didn’t make me want to jump right into this adventure from the get-go.

Food is something that connects people together outside of tabletop games. It allows people to embrace other people’s cultures for one, or to simply get to know what makes their friends and family around them happy. To combine that with tabletop games, an exercise in not just playing a game, but playing a game together, is something that truly makes Verdant Isles: Teatime Adventures stand out from an overwhelmingly saturated D&D crowd. That and well, who doesn’t love a good cuppa tea?
