Snowbright Announces Upcoming Collaboration with Colleen Doran and Rachel Gluckstern
Snowbright Studio is kicking off 2024 with two guests from the world of comics joining forces for a very special edition of Cozy Companion! Cozy Companion is Snowbright’s unique bimonthly cozy games and fiction publication, which features new adventures for Snowbright RPGs, cozy fiction, interviews, recipes, crafts, board game reviews written by cats, and more. February’s publication, entitled Love Cats, will feature a new time-traveling adventure as a preview of Snowbright’s upcoming RPG, Time Tails.
Eisner-award–winning writer and artist Colleen Doran will be lending her unique style to the cover of Love Cats which will begin shipping this February. The cover will feature Time Tails protagonists Ari and Zoe meeting the “Enchantress of Number”, Ada Lovelace. Colleen is best known for her collaborations with Neil Gaiman including Chivalry; Snow, Glass, Apples; and their recent smash hit Kickstarter in collaboration with the Terry Pratchett Estate, the Good Omens graphic novel. The inimitable Colleen has had a long and illustrious career creating captivating comic books for the likes of Marvel and DC Comics, as well as A Distant Soil with Image Comics.
Taking the editorial reins is veteran comics editor Rachel Gluckstern. Rachel's career stretches from the Bat-Cave of DC Comics to the digital shelves of InterPop. Her acquisition for Little Bee Books, Always Human, was featured in the New York Times as part of its graphic novel round-up for Pride. She loves cats! "Getting the opportunity to edit for Snowbright has been so much fun," Rachel says. "Cozy Companion is something really special in the cozy games community, and this particular issue will demonstrate how meaningful those relationships are."
This special issue will be a great opportunity for fans to preview Snowbright’s upcoming RPG, Time Tails, which will be launching into crowdfunding exclusively on Kickstarter. Inspired by Dr. Who, Back to the Future, Bill and Ted’s adventures, and all your favorite time-traveling shows from the '80s and '90s, Time Tails is a time-bending tabletop RPG featuring unique d4-based time paradox mechanics that finally lets you race dinosaurs with Mozart, battle ice crocodiles with George Washington, and protect your local Blockbuster from robot laser crabs.
Love Cats will also feature the winners of the 2023 Nonbinary Tabletop Awards and will be hitting the Snowbright store in February of 2024.
